Introducing our Gallery Book - a celebration of ethnic vintage Tuskiiz tapestries in a modern setting. Tuskiiz (түскиіз or тұс киіз) are a traditional ethnic Kazakh hand embroidered wall hangings, usually hung inside a nomadic yurt, providing beautiful backdrops for beds and sitting areas. Over the past 20 years, we have been passionately collecting these beautiful and rare tapestries, some dating back to the 1890s. With each tapestry, we've carefully preserved a piece of cultural history, and now we're thrilled to share them with the world.
Our goal in creating this Gallery book was to showcase these under-represented masterpieces and give them the recognition they deserve. Each page displays the intricate designs and weaving techniques used by the artisans who created them, bringing to life the vibrant colors and patterns that tell the stories of their culture.
As we curated this collection, we couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility to preserve and share these Tuskiiz tapestries with the world. With each passing year, they become rarer and harder to find, making it all the more important to showcase and appreciate them.
We believe that by sharing these exquisite tapestries with the world, we can help revive and inspire a newfound appreciation for this unique cultural tradition. We hope that this Gallery book inspires you as much as it has us and that you enjoy experiencing the beauty and history of these Tuskiiz tapestries as much as we have.
